Miracles Still Happen

Never in my lifetime did I ever expect to see Roe v. Wade overturned by the Supreme Court of the United States.

Many of us have prayed for this for 50 years. Many of us have marched for this and worked for this for 50 years. But, frankly, it seemed about as impossible as Hezekiah and Jerusalem escaping from the Assyrian army under Sennacherib, which had surrounded the city. But God was bigger for Hezekiah and, in His mercy, He has been bigger for us in America who cherish the lives of unborn, innocent children.

Our position remains inescapably and biblically clear. Psalm 139 declares that the Lord sees people’s unformed substance while we are still in our mother’s womb—and that He has all of our days written in His book before we live day one here on earth. A person’s life begins before conception in God’s mind and, therefore, certainly at conception.

So let us, who cherish life, take this moment to thank God for His sweet mercy for the unborn babies. Babies who will be saved and allowed to live out their God-ordained lives.

And let us not forget to thank God for His mercy for America.

"For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well." Psalm 139:13-14
